I got kicked out of GW last night. Was only on a lowbie type character too. I could not reconnect, even with rebooting everything including the router. "Code=013" Was it only me? What is the 13th error code? Should I be worried? Are Franks people now in charge of my connection too? I have not tried today so far as still at work.

So my paranoia about the devil and communists is unfounded?

Update -
More issues with GW and internet. My client was running slow and the whole of windows was slowing up, so I have reformatted and done a clean install on my c-drive. My installation of GW was failing, I kept having to reload loads of files every time I logged in. So I have uninstalled and installed GW. My disk would not work so I have downloaded the client....
Still not working. I have a character trying to load into JQ atm, 11,000 files and 54mb downloaded at 6%.......
Maybe I will be on for the weekend. This is a different issue to the above I know but I felt I did not need to start another thread.
Hope every one is OK and all the brits are managing to stay safe away from the riots. Happy Days!

Having to download loads of files after doing a clean install of GW is normal, the disks and downloadable client only provide you with the 'basic' game, none of the updates that have been going around for the past 6 years.
To download all the updates at once use the -image command line argument. Right-click on your GW desktop shortcut and select properties. Next you should see a Target Area field with the location of where GW is installed on your harddisk, for example "D:/Games/Guild Wars/Gw.exe" At the end of this string, after the quotation marks add a space and then -image. Click apply and run the shortcut, it should now download all the game updates since the original release.
Once you're done downloading all the updates remove the space and the -image from the properties because else GW will not launch but keep on trying to update.

Ok. thank you.
I have this running as I type, 49000 files to go....
The problem on the new install was that files were repeatedly downloaded - so every time I tried to go to JQ I had to download about 300 files, and the game had already started by the time I entered world.
I assumed I had some type of corruption in my GW file. I tried to reinstall but it did not work. Hence back to square 1.
I shall post the results of the cunning '-image'.
The Edit -
Fantastic! Lots of time and got all the files over 3 separate occasions but it is now working perfectly. I have had no further downloads at all. TYVM!
