big thanks to 'minge muncher' and alts for helping me get started I have a few quick questions as my warrior is now lvl 9 -
1. Does guild want/need warrior builds? Is there a better build I should be using?
2. I have looked at armour as suggested and it needs loads of resource, do I farm gold or try and salvage the resource?
3. I am building axe warrior atm, and am disappointed to find no 2h option, is axe good choice or should I go hammer or sword?
4. Any other tips/comments?

Hello and welcome to our guild and forum. I`ll try to answer your questions if I can. In our guild ppl are free to play whatever build they like so no requirements there. Lots of us use different builds for warriors. I use axe and I find it really good for my style of playing. Its great for attacking multiple targets at once with cyclone axe skill and triple chop elite skill ;D. But most other ppl prefer swords. So u can ask ingame on guild chat for different builds and if some1 can provide u with it I`m sure they will. Dont know which armor u gonna buy but in my opinion its always better to salvage stuff anyway so u get materials for later use. I salvage almost all white drops and cheap blue with highly salvageable inscription on them. U get materials for low lvl characters fast, but later on u`ll have to buy them (as u will need like 2 different types and 1 of them will be at least 250 in quantity) Any time u have a question feel free to ask in guild chat, I`m sure some1 will be able to answer . thank you. I am axe at the moment. I have necro as a second 'thingy' but havent really bothered with that as I figured I will only have points to be good at one thing.
Using the wikki, then asking in guild chat seems a cunning plan. I have accidentally already used some resource on head, gloves and boots..... But now I am saving up!
And I need to get a good axe too.
Is it always best to personalise everything?

If ur not planning to sell the items to other players (which is a bad idea if u dont have perfect items. That means if the items are not maximum damage and requirement at least 9) its always good to customize them. U get more damage form the weapon that way. But it makes weapon useless for other players. U can still sell it to NPC merchant though.

ok I am making my way through prophecies.
the heroes are great if i solo mini quest but I am not quite sure how I gained them, part of the minge muncher worlds tour I think.
This guild has been very helpful in primary quests, so far I have bonus + mission complete each time. And I have had the shield thing explained. This guild responded when I was in a group with a person from a 2nd guild, who was boasting about faction points etc but nobody in their entire alliance was available.
I dont know what faction points are.
Main Question -
I have had 'item unlocked' message a couple of time, should I be trying to salvage these weapons? Should I use expert kit or pay the even higher fee for better salvage kit. Should I just sell the item as I have done so far. Nothing has been very special as I am only collecting from 8 - 13 NPCs.
I have looked in guild wars wiki but am still unclear.
Thank you ;D
Oh and I get iron ingots so rarely presumably I am best to just buy them from the traders in the guild hall?

Unlocked message means that u can now get that kind of weapon for PvP only characters. So u can salvage or sell them if u want. About faction points, if u press H in game u open a window where on the first page u see 3 bars. Each of them represents a faction bar. Balthazar factions u get for killing ppl in PvP battles and as reward for a victory in them. With them u can either buy Zaishen keys or spend them to buy skills either for heroes or for u, but note that u can use this skills in PvP only. U can unlock them for PvE with profession tomes though. The other 2 bars are allegiance based. In them u gather either Luxon or Kurzick faction points. They are important for some quests and for some more or less good PvE skills. But they are most important for alliances that want to hold an outpost in Factions, and with it build reputation. I trade them for Jade shards as our alliance is 2 small to compete for outposts. Besides we are PvE guild so not many of us do Alliance battles and thus don't invest much in alliance score. All salvage are bad at beginning u'll get better later on, but then it will be 2 late for armor shoping as u'll probably want it long before that. So yes the best choice is to buy materials, but still collect materials 2 for later elite armor or for another char that u'll create later on, as all chars share common storage chest. Tim

Thanks all for help last night got to lvl 20!
Doppleganger was excellent. Got soundly crushed 4x, then all the posting of templates on guild chat and all the different comments from people. Was slightly tricky working out how to do that.
Top tip of loading template with unhelpful skills. My evil self used the necro sacrifice powers and dropped 10% HP before I even got close. And I completed it so easily. Evil me dead in a few seconds and gentle taps of the axe.
Suffice to say I would never have completed that final quest without the help of the guild and left to my own devices.
Now I just need to get the elite skills mentioned, the better armour mentioned, and a better weapon....
Warrior Template - does anyone have one they would recommend, I have a few spare attribute points atm which I am unsure whether to sink into axe/str/tactics or 'something else'
See you in game

I can send u my build for axe warrior in game, just give me a call when I'm online. It's probably not the best ever but like I said i like it a lot. It also leaves room for changes if u like some other skills. With attributes it's like this, it's best to put a lot on a weapon skill, the rest its good to spread between tactics and strength. U're usually left with a few points extra (up to 5), which have no meaning if u don't use any second profession skills.

OK warrior is great fun but seems far more successful on the PVP missions such as JQ and AB than PVE.
PVE I can tank now and usually survive as long as I get the odd heal. I tend to feel as a bit of an 'also ran' though
I am still axe warrior and pretty much undefeated 1vs1 on the arena but this may be due to the quality of opposition than anything else
And I usually am W/N but I use no necro power at all so I guess my build is W/any
I have used you template zerk and 'tweeked it' to suit me, I even change it a bit depending on missions!
My thoughts are 'turtle shepherd' and get Paragon to use the speed chants.
Thoughts?

I think para is a good choice for warriors secondary, for PvE 2, as both professions depend on adrenalin skills as they have only +2 energy regeneration and tend to be low on energy most of the time. But then again warrior does not get energy from shouts, but it can utilize para shouts good. But like i said i dont play warrior often so its better to hear from some1 that does .

Another Question -
It has been suggested I try build a '600 Monk' which I have started, I started in factions and am about level 17 now. I have been looking on the skills I need and most are actually to be found in prophecies so do I
A. do the quest that gets me to Lions Gate and start on those, therefore hopefully learning to play my 'Monk of Many Deaths' better.
or
B. can I buy them on the warrior which would make them available, if this would work. And just carry on factions.
What would you suggest?

hello moonchild my advice would be to get to prophs to get the skills as u need the elite skills from there and at around 10k each for monk tomes u can get a run so much cheaper . u can be in Mineral Springs with your signate of capture in a under hour

now that i understand the fact that not all '600 monk' builds are the same i understand the referance to mineral springs. I found your template as well on the pvx wiki. And I found a green staff that looks like the one you mentioned, niffler? nice to see could work anyway.
