I am thinking about creating a pre-searing character for the title "Defender of Ascalon". The only character I have not been is Necromancer. Any tips would be greatly apreciated. How easy is death leveling?

I bought two more slots a few months ago and I saved one for a permanent pre character. I have a spare account (actually a friend`s account, I hope he`ll be back some day but not likely) and I started using it to get me gifts from Nicholas. I am going after the party title (I`m quite close) and 5 gifts a day is not so bad. Tim also has a character still in pre-searing. So we have 3 accounts to visit Nick with every day. Of course, that takes quite a bit of farming every day to get us those 75 items needeed daily Anyway, I`m at present a lvl 13 (almost 14) warrior/ranger so I still haven`t started death levelling. Lvl 8 Charr still bring me 8XP. but that will change after about 4 more runs when I reach lvl 14 when only the 4 bosses get you any amount of XP. So I can`t tell you about death levelling from my experience yet. Her`s a link to some info on guildwiki. guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Legendary_defender_of_ascalonI just read it and I must admit it never hit me untill now how time consuming this title really is But I`m still doing it. I saw that I had made some mistakes and some good choices as well. For example, I kept almost all the quests for later. They will get me quite a few additional XP before reaching lvl 20. But I did all the secondary profession quests and chose a ranger as my secondary. I chose my secondary solely because of the pet. Not exactly a mistake as the pet is helping me kill enemies a bit faster now but I will have to get rid of him as soon as I start death levelling. And I just tamed a black bear I will post more here as soon as I start death levelling. But in the meantime, you can ask any of the guildies who have a perma pre char at the moment for some info. That`s myself, Tim, Hans, Jay, not sure about Aline and maybe more. Most of us are not at a lvl 16 or more (except Jay) but we might be able to give you a tip or two about spending time in pre-searing. Katja.

I started playing my pre-searing Necromancer today. My character is-Shaman Vic Tomia-and is now a level 7. Does not have a secondary proffession yet. I have some pre-searing collector armor, and I am now trying to find out what to do with 50 red iris flowers! 3 spider legs, and 5 unatural seeds! If anyone knows could you let me know? It's going good so far

If u got scar for 50 red iris flowers, then maybe u exchange them for equipment pack otherwise u sell them to players who need them. About legs and other stuff u hang on to them for when u need them for trading with Nicolas. U can get sweets, alcohol and party items for them.

Thanks for the info. Right now I have 20 Red Iris Flowers and I am a level 8. Do I need someone to open the gate to get past the north wall? What is the survival rate past the north wall going solo? ;D

a 'titan' quest you've started Victor and Katja. There is a pre-searing community, with a website, where they discuss ways of death leveling. www.presearing.com/You need a person to open the gate, and you see offers from people who will do that for money, but I know there is a community of people who are going for the title, who are doing it for free. The only request is that you also play the same game and do it for free too. I can't remember what they are called, but they use a special acronysm when they request/offer that service in ascalon city. Aline

I started this over 12 months ago and then decided it was too much like hard work Best guide i found was: cenega.googlepages.com/charrdlI think my warrior is lvl 15 or 16 from memory. Should really go back and have a look when I have a minute. Quite happy to help out with explaining how the pulling works if anyone is not sure. PS - "LF Gate Monkey 50g" is the usual request in Ascalon HOWEVER, please check where the person offering is standing as there was a period a while back where people would offer to open the gate, then accept the quest to take you out of pre-searing, just for a laugh.... Ben I am shuddering at the thought... Not sure I will ever get the title but I wouldn`t want this to happen to me... PS I moved the thread to GW Information Center because it belongs here now.
