Woohoo, finally. Only downside is that the CE is a bit... lacking. It doesn't have enough extra's to justify the 130 pound pricetag in my eyes. So Digital Deluxe version it is for me.
But who cares, game is finally coming!

With April 10th right around the corner, who among us is going to pre-purchase? I think I will, just for the beta access.

We were a bit disappointed when we found out we could not get CE in pre-order , but a bit comforted by the fact we could not get it even if they would sell it in our region due to a really limited presale edition . So now we are getting 1 DD and 1 boxed version . All I have to do now is finally decide which processor to buy for my new rig. There are way to many options for my own good . Hope I can make a decision before beta starts .

Friend of mine works at a Gamemania (dutch retail chain) and he said they are only getting 1 CE per store! Apparantly Anet doesn't like money

I'll be pre-purchasing the Deluxe version - If for nothing else the access to the beta events is probably worth it Will be interesting to see the lag between the pre-purchase date and the actual launch date. Less than convinced by the additional cost of the Collector's edition for what you get though. Ben

I was split between i5 2500k and i7 2600k. I was considering also i7 2700k but decided it was not worth it after reading loads of forums talking about perks of that processor. The arguments about it were more or less the same as in case of difference between 2500 and 2600, basically perks not worth 100 euros. Now i decided for 2600 as its only 1 year old compare to its 2 year older brother. I intend to use this new rig for at least 5 years, so maybe in that life span its perks over the 2500 will show . And now I'm troubled by the choice of case . We wanted to buy CE for charr statue, it looks so awesome. It would pay it self out so to speak. It alone will be soon worth way pass 200 euros. But then again we would never sell it. 1 regular pre purchase already made, waiting for Kat to get home to buy DD .

The advantage of the i7 is the hyperthreading, which does not really give you any edge in games, only in CPU intensive tasks like encoding, unpacking RAR libraries etc. So given the price gap, the i5 is an excellent choice for a gaming setup. And both those cpu's are capable of a very impressive overclock on air cooling should the need for higher clock speeds arise. As for the case, most people that let me build a rig get this one from me: www.coolermaster.nl/product.php?product_id=6750Affordable and very good in terms of cooling, noise and cable management. Back on topic: DD bought, account set up, now the wait begins for the end of the month ;D (And hope I'll still manage to get my paws on a GW2 soundtrack someday down the road)

I too got the digital deluxe pre-purchase. Not sure why when I still have so much left to in GW1 :/ I thought hard about the CE but the only other CE I've ever bought that came with "real life" items has been retrospect a complete waste. Before GW my game of choice was any of the Age of Empires releases. So when AoE3 came out I thought CE with art book, posters, soundtrack, etc was the way to go. Now I when I look at it, I just see a really big waste of space and try not to think about the extra $$ I paid for that. Loved the game but the CE stuff is just rubbish to me now.

Anders bought a DD on the official website (and got the code instantly), and I ordered a CE, I wanted the artbook, I like drawings and stuff like that, so after a long thought about it I bought the CE, even though it's so expensive. It was sold out in Sweden, so I went on a French website. I hope I'll get it because it has not been sent yet, originally they said they'd send it on the 13th, now it says between the 14th and the 21st... And someone told me that they'd received an email some time after ordering the CE version that their purchase had fallen through. So I'll believe it when I get that box/letter with the code in it.
***Update Mon 16th**** Partly relieved, got an email this morning saying that my GW2 CE is being sent today, with a tracking number . Yoohoo!

Glad to her Aline. And enjoy the art work. I hope it is as big as the one I got for AoE3.
