More friends have joined our alliance recently. Sam from [MYST] decided to disband what was left of the [MYST] alliance and they joined us. As sad as we are that our old alliance doesn't exist any more, we're very happy to see Mysties in orange chat again

OK, another update. As you know, our alliance has gotten very quiet lately. The reason is that AVE guild and most of the other guilds are dead I'm afraid. It's not too bad if we want to linger here and wait for GW2 to come out. But in case we want to be in a live alliance, we have an offer to join the Relics of Orr Alliance together with MYST guild. If you guys are willing to meet them at least, we will arrange a meeting and see what they're like. It's all up to us. What do you think? Here's the link to their site: www.relicsoforr.com

Well, I think we have nothing to lose. Our alliance only has about 2-3 other active guilds left at most, so I think this is an offer we have to take, at least, if we're planning to hang around with active guilds.

If their website is a true indication of their alliance then awesomeness is sure to be had.

I fear leaving because the alliance is near-death won't solve much because so many if not all alliances are falling apart these days (or will be, very soon). Still I don't really care (anymore) for any alliance. The only thing that keeps me coming to GW is our guild.
So, as we already discussed, I am fine with either staying or moving, whatever the majority wants. Relics site looks nice so if we consider moving we should meet them yes. To see if they re something we can tag along with.

I'm not playing much anymore, so i don't really care. But I'll be the last person to block such a move, so go ahead, always nice to meet some new people ;D

I have to say I'm supportive of a change. It's been clear when I've been on recently that there is little activity in AC, and at times it can be less than desirable. But hey - Maybe I'm ?turning? into an old man.
To the best of my knowledge RoO are active, though their forum looks a little quiet, but I'm sure we can always do something about that!!
Ben.

Still I don't really care (anymore) for any alliance. The only thing that keeps me coming to GW is our guild. Yes and yes. Like I said in game - I'm probably more comfortable with less people. On the other hand, there are some reasons to at least meet them. 1) Their podcast is cool. They seem nice and organised. 2) Some of us have have still lots do achieve in GW1 (15 more titles for me) and extra help wouldn't hurt. 3) If they turn out to be cool and not dying, we'll have a nice start in GW2 alliance-wise. Which can't be said right now I think. I don't think we have anything to lose, so I'm eager to meet them.

I shall be away but as my previous 'OK' I am happy to be guided and go with the flow.
My recent title track obsession and manically busy chasing after kids has limited game time for me anyway.
I hope the meeting goes well. Are we being auditioned or are we testing them???

Good question. They really want MYST in their alliance and MYST wants us with them. But if this alliance knew us, they would want us for ourselves . The meeting is for us to meet them and see if we like them. And what is there not to like about us? ;D Anyway, they seem nice and they are definitely more alive then our present alliance. Besides, we need a nice alliance for GW2. AVE alliance was nice enough but we never really fit in. We're not experienced enough, too casual. It was still ok while it lasted. But now it's time to move on.

OK, the meeting took place as planned. Hans, Tim, Sabrina, Max, Daniel and myself were present from TLS. Anyway, to keep things short, they seem like a nice bunch, much like us. They are mostly American but active at all times. They like maturity in their alliance, they don't want to see excessive swearing, begging and spamming in the AC. They are PvE with a few PvP enthusiasts, they are adults mostly and they do usual things like HoM activities, FoW and DoA. They don't have any set events but they decide on things as they go. Leading guild has 99 members and a third of them active daily (please correct me if I didn't remember correctly). Any thoughts? We're waiting for a day or two before our final decision so that anybody can have their say. The general feeling of those present was positive.

Like the idea of having some folks on in the evening (over here) which is when we most often get on. Also that they decide things as they go and I saw no mention of faction farming. The guild we joined for the Kurzick* points had a really active alliance but they only seemed to do 1 thing and that was farm faction (and cuss so the non-excessive swearing is another plus). And as Daniel mentioned in chat, their hamstorming (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Hamstorm) for fun makes me think that they are skilled but don't take themselves to seriously so that makes me feel more like playing with them instead of l33t players (yeah l33t players are good and maybe they help but the whole time they seem to enjoy trying to make you feel dumb or something because you need help). But this guild has never been thrown into an alliance that we didn't fit and so I leave up to the same folks who have been making those decisions all along because they do such a good job at it.
