Just noticed the banner at the top still reads -
"The Legendary Survivors part of the Myst Alliance"
;D

yes, I know ;D I am thinking of a new one, but haven't had time to design it. It is on my 'to do' list. Anyone else feels like designing a new one?

I'm sorry Moon and others, I've been meaning to explain things here on the forum but was too busy. All of you probably know that it was very hard for us to leave [Myst], but the alliance was dying and Sam said she would keep it as it was. So we left with her blessing. As for RIP, after staying there for a while, we started to get the feeling that things were not as they seemed at first. Sure, alliance chat was nice and lively at times and I don't know about you but I've made some friends there. But the problem was that we didn't have any say in what went on in the alliance and guilds were being kicked because they spoke too freely in alliance chat. Of course, the leader meant well, but it just didn't feel right. So we decided to start our own alliance with [AVE]. [BACK] also followed us and we picked up [XxX], formerly a part of the [RIP] alliance. We accepted another nice guild (not sure what the tag is) and we're currently looking for more. [AVE] accepted the leadership of this new alliance but it's up to all of us to make it work together. This is our home now and it's all up to us.

Just an Idea:
We can leave the banner as it is but just add the word 'former' right before 'part'. Then it would read 'former part of the myst alliance'. That would be an easy thing to do, not?
Myst has been our best home so far, I/we still compare new alliances to that one and last but not least...didnt we plan to reunite with them in GW2? At least I consider it a real option for that [zoo] if it is brought back to life about then.

Yes we could do that Merijn. My thought was however to have a simple banner for TLS but no mention of any alliance, until we have settled at least. I'll see if I can implement your idea though.

I rarely make use of alliance chat. I guess I should try and do more. Ask for help in Alliance, not just guild The only alliance person I have ever had dealings with directly was AVE, so it is good I guess that we are still with them. (bought a discounted green weapon from me)

Thanks Moon. Saying hi on the alliance chat will be a great start. And maybe you will get to know some people that way, make new GW friends

I was just wondering if there was any kind of schedule of Alliance events like Myst had when Sam ran it. And if so, where could one see it?

Not yet i think, but things are in making. There might be same amounts of events as in Myst soon as Rinus is thinking on restarting Mission/Dungeon event and adding PvP (HA) event. Things are not sure about postings yet though. However u can be assured that they will be posted on our forum for sure.

I hadn't seen anything on the forum about changes to the guild's weekend events so I had been working with the assumption that request night was still on Saturday and the squishes on Sunday as mentioned.

Request night on Saturday is not guarantied anymore as it happens if Kat and I are online. And it was decided, that we help with anything at any time if possible anyway, so we don't need request night so to say. And Saturday are strangely not prime time for gameplay in our guild as not many players are on Saturday evenings. So if any of u have a suggestion about a better time for guild event pls post your comments.

Maybe Saturday is quite because people are out working on their real life sweet tooth, life of the party and drunkard titles? ;D I was on last Saturday morning and got to take part in a squish that you and Katya invited folks to. I think that might be a good idea for everybody in the Alliance to do (if they don't mind the company) for a couple of reasons. Of course the 1st is so people can join and the 2nd is that a guild or alliance is going to be stronger (keep more active members) if the members see that activity in chat even if they can't or don't want to join. I think our guild does an excellent job with that. I know that I have more than once thought of finding another guild only because of the time zone difference and then I'll catch y'all online and go out and have a good time squishing or mow through a mission faster than I ever thought possible or just do a little farming because for whatever reason I can't join in with what is going on at the moment but I still see the offerings to help with this or that, it seems that almost always someone is checking to make sure that everyone online has the need items for that week's GotT and things like that and thus I stay because I honestly don't think I'll find a better group of officers when it comes to how members are treated. (And no, I'm not selling or buying anything.

Thank you James for your kind words We're not perfect (nobody is), but we're trying And let me share a secret with you - it's not just officers, it's members too. We are all contributing and this guild wouldn't exist without our loyal, chatty, and helpful members. Anyway, we're happy to have you here but would understand if you decided to join an American guild, more appropriate for your playing hours. Whatever you decide will be ok Katja.
